Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 October 2026. Magik Books is operated by Turquoise Era (Mike King), New South Wales, Australia. Questions: hello@magikbooks.com.
What we keep
- Your account: name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Your books: the titles, text, settings and links you enter, so you can come back and keep writing.
- Chats with Sienna: the messages you send and her replies, kept for up to 90 days, plus short notes she keeps about you (such as what you are writing) so she can help better. You can ask her to forget these at any time from the chat window.
- Technical data: a login cookie to keep you signed in, and short-lived records of your connection to limit abuse.
How we use it
Only to run Magik Books: sign you in, save and show your books, let you publish and download them, let Sienna help, and process your Lifetime Membership. We do not sell your information and we do not run advertising on this site.
Who else handles it
- Payments: Lifetime Membership payments are taken by Stripe through shop.tqera.com. Your card details go to Stripe; Magik Books never sees them. We receive confirmation that you have paid and the email used.
- Sienna: your messages are sent to Anthropic, which provides the AI that powers her, in order to produce replies.
- Fonts: pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google.
- Hosting: the site runs on Hostinger.
Your books are yours
A book is private until you press Publish. A published book is reachable by anyone with its link and is not offered to search engines by us. Unpublish it at any time.
Your choices
You can delete your account and all your books yourself from the Create page (Delete account). You can clear Sienna's memory and chats from her chat window. To ask for a copy of your information or for anything else, write to hello@magikbooks.com. If you are in Australia, you also have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Security
We take sensible precautions, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords, but no online service can promise perfect security.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
